1. Utilizing what you discussed today from your groups, create a draft or outline of your presentation (whether it is a play, PowerPoint presentation, etc.). And, if you had group members who were absent, contact and update them on what you discussed today. Please send your drafts or outline by Saturday to: [email protected].
2. (Optional) Fill out "Justice for Pvt. Danny Chen: Birthday Card Campaign" and bring it to the next session to be sent or delivered to Members of the Senate and House Armed Services Committees in Washington, D.C.

Answer the following questions: 1. Why are immigration stories important? 2. How have immigrant stories impacted you as an individual? Write one paragraph for each question. Please send answers to: [email protected].

For the coming weeks, there will be interviewees scheduled for students to interview so please check your emails. Also, students must interview a working youth (age 18-24 years old or college-level student). Please send notes or transcriptions to: [email protected]. Be prepared to discuss in the next session.
WEEK 4
I. Come up with 10 interview questions that you will be asking your interviewee in relation to economic development and Chinatown. II. In addition, please find out/prepare answers to the following: 1. When did your parents/guardian come to US from where/to where, 2. When you came to US from where/to where, 3. When/what were your parents'/guardian's first jobs in US, 4. Where/when did you first go to school in the US, 5. Find out the year of an important event you think was a turning point for you and/or your family (history)- Please send these 5 answers to: [email protected] by Saturday. And, be prepared to discuss during the next session.
WEEK 3
Redo family member interview incorporating 3 things to do in an interview based on Sahar's workshop. Send interview questions and short story to: [email protected]. Be prepared to discuss in the next session.
WEEK 2
Come up with a list of interview questions to ask a family member. Then, create and write a short story based on what you uncovered from the interview. Send questions and short story to: [email protected]. Be prepared to discuss in the next session.

Each student writes a biography for the website and send a picture to be posted. Send bios/pictures to: [email protected].
